Bill Bradley was the #2 Dem at the time. He was the only actual Progressive in the race. (No, Gore was not a Progressive yet.) Rhodes scholar. Hall of Fame hoops player. Highly esteemed in the Senate on both sides of the aisle. More red state crossover than the three listed choices combined.
The guy should still be on short lists today. Or should we limit ourselves to choosing from among the perpetual campaigners?

the hell out of Gore. He threw some pretty nasty stuff, the basis of Nader's campaign, at him. He also wasn't as progressive as some seem to think.

So, you're wrong on point 1.
Point 2, you think Hillary's Progressive, so I'm not sure you're a reliable judge of one's Progressiveness.
