RE: Lam, follow the $ ... military budget - Duke - OVP black ops???

It is obvious that the bu$hies are in full battle mode defending themselves in this latest scandal and cover-up. But apparently all they have for their defense is BS and bluster. It is almost sad (in a gleeful kind of way) to watch GOP politicians and talking heads still trotting out their excuse of "Bill Clinton fired all 93 of his USAs, we're only talking about eight." They are shamelessly disingenuous. And then to hear bu$h claim that the firings were appropriate and that no crimes were committed ... well that clinches it. Crimes WERE committed. Big Time!
It is obvious that the removal of Carol Lam was related to Dukestergate. This may not be provable at the present, but the circumstantial case is strong. But it appears likely that this is only the beginning of this story. Why are they so adamant about hiding their actions and covering this up? How far does this go and how significant is it?
So here are some considerations, some dots to connect so to speak ...
Dot 1.) Did Elliot Abrams' lessons learned from Iraq-Contra inspire cheney to run black ops from the OVP?
The likely answer to this question is a resounding YES.
Dot 2.)cheny has declared that the OVP is an island unto itself with no accountability or oversight. In fact we can't even know who we're paying to work for him.
Dot 3.)Did cheney buy Duke The Dukester? This is as yet unproven. It would be interesting to see if the OVP can come up with serial numbers of equipment provided for this $140,000.
Dot 4.) The OVP is traditionally a fairly small operation with basically an office operating budget. Even tripling the budget would be a drop in the bucket as far as real $ goes.
Dot 5.) While I cannot find a relevant link at the moment, I recall when the Hookergate story was breaking that there was mention of contracts issued by Duke that was essentially disappeared money. No deliverables could ever be identified by the agencies which were supposedly the beneficiaries of these contracts.
Now consider ... As in the Iran-Contra scandal, no black ops program can be run without MONEY ... a lot of MONEY. In Iran-Contra they had arms to trade and cocaine to deal. That was necessary because they couldn't use funds from the US treasury. And that was because the Congress had cut off funds for the Contras and legally tied the Reagan administration's hands.
But for the first 6 years of this administration from hell, their party held the House of Representatives. And Duke Cunningham held the military purse strings. There was no need to go through budgetary processes and raise red flags. Instead they could arrange for Duke to award bogus contracts and siphon defense budget dollars into the OVP black ops budget.
This isn't just about Wilkes or MZM, and it's not just about the impending investigation of Jerry Lewis - though I bet he's part of this scheme also. It's also not about retaliation against Lam, or sending a message, or anything like that. I'm convinced that this story goes to the heart of the military industrial complex, and that evil black heart is none other than dick cheney, the veep that roared. If they lose this one they know the gig is up. That is why I agree with many posters on several blogs who predict an imminent attack on Iran. (Or another 9-11) They need some kind of BIG MOJO to save their asses now.
If nothing else, even if they can't prove that Carol Lam was sacked to obstruct justice, the Congressional Dems should make certain that the Foggo, Wilkes, and Lewis cases are THOROUGHLY investigated. I think an independent prosecutor is quite appropriate in this instance.
