This is a different thing.  I am trying some fiction, and honestly want your honest feedback.  Most likely this is very poor, but I thought that I would try.

A Nation Divided Cannot Stand...against Tyranny.

No really. Once you connect the dots it is easy to prove, based on current rumors, headlines and blog entries, that Hamas, the supposed enemy of Israel, is secretly backing Israel. It took me some time to piece this together, but once I realized the truth about Barack Obama (middle name Hussein...first name suspiciously similar to Ehud Barak), it all fell into place.

Follow me to discover the real TRUTH.

Of late in articles on the election, a new talking point has emerged:

"Well, everyone picked the 18-0 New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl, and along came the upstart New York Giants in the last moments of the game."

In this diary, I will detail why they should stop using that analogy and claim they never said anything of the sort.

I read Jimmy Crackcorn's diary on the potential job loss and revenue loss from the idiotic "Gas Tax Holiday" proposed by Clinton and McCain, and I got mad. Well, madder. I'm originally from Minnesota, where after the tragic bridge collapse you don't casually talk about taking millions away from infrastructure just to pander to a few voters.

So I decided to use Jimmy Crackcorn's excellent Gas Tax Holiday calculator to see exactly how much I would personally save from this proposed idiocy--and donate it directly to Obama's campaign...

I know that this matter has been blogged about repeatedly before, but I need to get it off my chest. YES, this is another Wright diary.  No, it's not about how it's going to effect Obama or his rejection of Wright or whatever.  This was drummed up pre-Obama statement, and it's a sum up of my feelings on the whole dumb, dumb, dumb matter, taken and expanded upon from Glenn's post on the whole thing:

I want to quote a great mind and political genius as far as this Wright mess goes:

Yeah, about time for me to get a little drink of water. Figure this stuff is safe to drink? Huh? Actually I don't care if it's safe or not, I drink it anyway. You know why? Cause I'm an American and I expect a little cancer in my food and water. That's right, I'm a loyal American and I'm not happy unless I've let government and industry poison me a little bit every day. Ok, L.A. Times should really pack it in.  There are two articles (both citing Youtube as sources), one attempting to exploit the Ayers-Obama relationship and one claiming that Obama flipped Hillary the bird.  On top of that claiming that "two different videos show him doing the same thing at different speeches."  Same video, two angles.  

Please don't laugh people.  Please. It really isn't funny.  It is sad that the great newspapers of our country have been reduced to childish drivel.  It frightens me.

I've written notes to these "writers" or should I call them "blighters".  Real writers cherish their profession as do real journalists.  

Measured by the yardstick of "is a financially successful conservative gas-bag radio host," Rush Limbaugh is technically good at something.

But his latest hilarity, captured in all its glory by the no-punches-pulled Rude Pundit, shows how utterly incompetent and ridiculous his activities are if they attempt to extend outside the confines of his radio booth.

Let's step around the flap for some more mockery:

Okay, I have a lot I want to talk about so I'm going to do it in this diary.

1. John McCain continues to walk around without a challenger.

2. The News Media's and in particular Lou Dobbs' Insane Addiction to the Jeremiah Wright Story.

This is a simple rant - again - against the Fed cutting interest rates to "support the economy". Here is the problem:

The US dollar tanks every time the Fed cuts rates - especially if the European Central Bank (ECB) does not. Let's suppose, as the market is projecting, the US dollar drops 5% next year.

I borrow money from a US bank at 6%. Money is fungible - I can take it anywhere. So I can lend it in the US or use it to fuel the European or Chinese economy. Math below the fold:

Should a President's or Presidential Candidate’s family matter?  I think so.  If you are trying to play therapist to the entire nation (a.k.a. solve its problems) then you’d better be able to solve some of your own or at least show that you have control of your own life.  Why do we care?    Because the American public wants a first family that it can respect and love.

Who fails? The Bush Twins.  We hear enough about all the crap that Bush has done in office.  His success as president is up to your own interpretation.  That’s not my beef.  It's those first First Twins?  If ever there were people I wanted out of office, it’s the wretched Bush girls.

Jenna Bush is an embarrassment on so many levels.  2 misdemeanors in 2 months in 2001, possession of alcohol and trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID.

Ok, the Fed has rolled over and committed itself to turning the US dollar into the next trash currency. The 1/2 percent basis cut today was actually defended by the Fed Board on the basis - as the CNBC crawl stated - an

expectation of inflation to moderate in coming quarters

And the crude market moved up 75 cents in the half hour after the cut, the US dollar drop almost a half a percent in the same time. And traders talked about "inflating ourselves out of this recession."

In less than twenty four hours (more like 18 hours now) I anticipate that the Federal reserve Bank will formally announce that it has decided to change its governance structure and seat the CEOs of Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Societe General, Deutsche Bank and several other major banks as the arbiters of monetary policy for the US. Well, they will do the next best thing:

They will cut US interest rates another 50 basis points.

This is flat ridiculous. And worse, it is destroying the US economy.

In the Democratic primary, Obama and Hillary are Goliath and John Edwards is David, Seabiscuit, the oppressed candidate, by virtue of his doing the right thing regarding financing, but even more so by virtue of his marginalization by The Corpulent Media, who always seems to get it wrong...at least when it comes to the typical American citizen.
They helped shoehorn Bush into office.
They helped shoehorn America into a tragic, horrible, and far from over war.
They are pill pushers.

Even before the war, I knew this much: We might decide when it begins, but it is the enemy who will decide when it is over. And we found this out with "Mission Accomplished". The same sad truth holds true today...unless we are in touch with the highest of truths, and can create a win-win situation whereby their win is clearly more generous than our own...for it is we who created this proverbial "goose in a bottle" to begin with.

THE HEAVY UPLIFTING
Now can we finally get to the heavy uplifting? (By uplifting, I do not mean tugging.)

I belong to another bulletin board, and as a long-term member I sometimes wonder what the hell is going on with the newbs.  Every Christmas it's the same thing:  who had Christmas first, the Christians or the Wiccans?

You didn't read that wrong.  The Wiccans on the board take up the position that, "We had Christmas first, only we called it Yule.  Nyaah."  And the Christians on the board fire back with, "No, we started Christmas, and Jesus is the reason for the season!"

My response to either argument has been, "Oh, will you please just shut the fuck up?"

Seriously.
