My bumper stickers were finally destroyed

Fri Dec 02, 2005 at 02:09:47 PM PDT

It finally happened, actually I am suprised it took so long.  I noticed after got home from school. I was standing in the driveway smoking a cigarette when I decided to walk out to the street and bring in the garbage can, thats when I saw what had been done to my precious bumper stickers.  The first one, my pride and joy, stated "Mission Accomplished My Ass."  It was one of my very first political bumper stickers. It was torn straight down the middle...bastards. I looked to the left and saw that my Daily Kos sticker, the one that says "Bush has Failed You" was also torn up.  I can just imagine the devote Bush believer seeing my stickers and becoming insane with anger.  I'm sure he thought, "I'll show that traitor."  He then marched over to the back of the my car, kneeled down and began picking away, muttering right-wingnut talking points to himself wondering why I hate America.  He probably called his hero Sean Hannity right afterwards to tell him of his good deed.  More below the fold...

Short Diary on Zalmay Khalilzad Confirmation Hearing

Tue Jun 07, 2005 at 11:22:23 PM PDT

(In case no one has covered it yet) Zalmay Khalilzad met with the US Senate Foreign Relations committee today.  He is to be confirmed to be the US Ambassador to Iraq.  I am going to just mention two things that I found to be worth noting. First off I was watching the confirmation on CSPAN as Sen. Barak Obama was asking questions and he mentioned that he and the committee don't know whether or not the US will maintain permanent military bases in Iraq.  I would think the  Foreign Relations Committe should know that.  Then Khalizad said he knew for a fact that bases would not be permanent.  How does he know, yet the committee doesn't?  There's a little bit more...

What is it about Zarqawi?

Wed May 18, 2005 at 07:10:54 PM PDT

Some of you may remember back on April 25 ABC News reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was nearly captured near Ramadi.  This story has really bothered me for a couple of reasons. In the ABC News report it describes how Task Force 626 (the ones in charge of finding Zarqaqi) learned of a secret meeting in Ramadi that Zarqawi would be attending. So here's what they did...
Task Force 626 -- the covert American military unit charged with finding Zarqawi -- had troops in place to grab the fugitive, and mobile vehicle checkpoints had been established around the city's perimeter. Another U.S. official said predator drones were also in flight, tracking movements in and around the city.

mmm kay. Here's what happened next:

Sibel Edmonds countinues on

Sun May 15, 2005 at 05:49:00 PM PDT

Sibel Edmonds just put out an essay titled "Gagged, but not Dead". It is a great summary of her ongoing struggle against the tyrants of the Executive Branch. It goes to show how spineless the Legislative and Judicial branches have become, and how quick they are to bow down to Executive authority. Not to mention how little respect they have for upholding the Constitution. They have much to hide, yes.
